The Abia State chapter of the Obidient Movement has announced ambitious plans to organize a one-million-man solidarity march on July 19 to celebrate the 64th birthday of the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi. The announcement has generated excitement among supporters across the state and beyond, as it reflects the enduring popularity of the former governor among Nigerian youths and civil society groups.
In a joint statement released by Dr. Chibuzor Obiesili, a prominent coordinator of the movement, and Mr. Christian Emmanuel, head of its media and publicity sub-committee, the group revealed that the massive march will hold simultaneously in four strategic locations in Abia State: Umuahia, Aba, Ohafia, and Uzuakoli.
