A Nigerian man recently made headlines after calling off his engagement with his fiancée following a surprising change in her appearance.
The man, who remains unnamed, took to an anonymous social media page to share the details of their fallout, which revolved around his fiancée’s decision to shave her hair into a low cut without informing him beforehand.
According to the man, he had always been the one to provide financial support for his fiancée’s hair styling, usually paying for her to have her hair braided or plaited.
However, he was shocked when he saw her new look, which was a stark contrast to the usual hairstyles she sported, as she had completely shaved her hair off, giving her a very different appearance.
The man expressed his disappointment and frustration over the fact that she did not consult or inform him about the decision to drastically change her hairstyle.
This lack of communication ultimately led him to end their engagement, feeling that the change was disrespectful and a breach of their understanding.
In his own words, he wrote:
“I broke up with my fiancé today because she shaved her hair to low cut without telling me.. I’ve always given her money to plait her hair.. Now she looks totally different like a man, I hope it isn’t bad I left her?”
