A lady identified as Angelica Ratechi, has come forward with a disturbing allegation against a male staff member at Sayria Spa in Lagos, an establishment owned by BBNaija reality star, Khloe Abiri. According to Angelica, the incident occurred during what was supposed to be a routine massage session.
Angelica alleged that the masseur engaged in inappropriate and non-consensual contact, specifically claiming that he “dipped his finger” into her private part on multiple occasions. She described the experience as traumatizing and said she was left in shock following the incident.
In her narration, Angelica stated that she immediately reported the matter to Khloe Abiri, the spa’s proprietor. However, she alleged that Khloe downplayed the severity of the situation by allegedly responding that “these things happen at a massage.”
Seeking justice, Angelica visited the police station to file a report. Unfortunately, she was met with what she described as victim-blaming behavior. She claimed the police officers shamed her for going to a spa, suggesting that her choice made her complicit in what happened.
Following the online uproar, Khloe Abiri issued an official statement addressing the allegations. She stated that the spa acted professionally and ethically from the onset. According to her, both Angelica and her sister were asked whether they were comfortable with a male therapist and were given privacy to change before the session.
Khloe also revealed that the accused staff member was suspended immediately after the complaint was received, and the spa has fully cooperated with authorities throughout the investigation process.
Despite the spa’s official response, the incident has stirred heated reactions on social media. Many netizens have expressed anger and disappointment over the alleged assault and the manner in which it was initially handled. Others have called for greater accountability and professionalism in the wellness industry to ensure clients’ safety.
