A young Nigerian woman identified as Omolola Eniola Adekunle is currently facing heavy backlash online after she was accused of theft and an attempted murder of her employer, just two months into her job as a house help.
According to emerging reports, a shocking video of Omolola surfaced on social media, where she was seen crying and pleading for forgiveness. The viral clip allegedly shows her after being confronted with overwhelming evidence that links her to the criminal acts she was accused of. The footage has since sparked outrage across various online platforms.
What made matters worse was the revelation of a WhatsApp voice note, in which Omolola was said to have bragged to a friend about her actions. The voice note, reportedly recovered and shared by the employer, appeared to confirm her involvement and lack of remorse, further intensifying public anger.
To add to the controversy, a former employer of Omolola, who is a jeweller, took to the comment section of the viral post to share her own disturbing experience with the accused. She claimed that Omolola had lived with her for over a decade and nearly ruined her family and business before leaving under a cloud of suspicion.
The jeweller’s comment reads: “Dear God, thank you for finally vindicating me🙏. Omolola lived with me for over 10 years. When she was going to leave, everyone labeled me as a devil and wicked person, including her mum. She had a spare key to my room without my knowledge and almost wrecked my family and business. Wish I could drop a voicenote.”
The disturbing nature of the case has raised serious concerns among Nigerians, especially regarding the safety of hiring domestic staff without thorough background checks. The story continues to trend across major platforms, as many await further updates on the legal actions that may follow.
