Corps member posted to a school in the Northern region of Nigeria has voiced his frustration over a growing challenge he’s been facing — a significant language barrier between himself and his students.
According to the corper, the core of the issue is the students' inability to understand or communicate in English, which is the language he is most comfortable teaching in. At the same time, he admitted that he does not understand the Hausa language spoken fluently by most of his students.

Corper.
This language gap has made it increasingly difficult for the corps member to effectively deliver lessons, interact meaningfully, and perform his duties in the classroom, leaving him visibly frustrated.
In a moment captured on video, the corps member is seen speaking to a fellow colleague about the challenge. He lamented that the school proprietor, who could have helped with translation, was not present at the time, which only worsened the situation.
He summed up his frustration simply, stating: “I’m frustrated to be honest.”
