This disturbing incident was captured in a video and shared in a post on the popular social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), where it quickly gained attention and reactions from users across the country.

Enugu women parade alleged spy of Fulani herdsmen.

In the video, the women, visibly angry and determined, marched in unison while singing local songs, pointing accusing fingers at the man, and holding him firmly to prevent his escape. The man could be seen struggling to free himself, but the women maintained a tight grip, particularly on his trousers, ensuring he remained within their control.

This tense encounter reportedly occurred just days after a tragic attack in the same community, where over two dozen people were killed, and many others injured, by suspected Fulani herdsmen. The community, still reeling from the horror of that event, took it upon themselves to apprehend anyone suspected of collaborating with or providing information to the attackers.

As the video made its rounds on social media, it sparked heated discussions in the comment sections, with many Nigerians sharing their opinions about the unfolding situation and the actions taken by the women of Enugu.

See some reactions below:

@Athan75088418: “Unlike the dirt bags and walking deads from your region, down here if you FAFO. How many of his kinds have you people been able to catch in your region? Our women are more active than your men and the so-called Amotekun.”

@Olaoyet79652043: “At times when you see pictures of Ndigbolugis from their barren land, one will wonder. Are these people part of Nigeria? Why are they always looking like hungry, infected-with-disease hyenas? Yoruba people are blessed, honestly. Those ones are cursed.”

@Snr_Gustavo: “Most of these Enugu women wey dey village get sense pass their Gen Z wey dey town. If na those werey wey dey town dem go cover am cause dem no want make Yoruba see their secret.”

@JohnOkeke139462: “Truly you have nothing doing in your life because if you did you wouldn’t have time for this. You’re busy looking for videos to mock Igbos while the Igbo boy on your street is busy hustling his business, then tomorrow he buys land in your street, builds his house, and you envy him.”

@AniekehCyril: “Noise makers, continue exposing anything you do to the world. Why can’t you people handle your challenges without exposing it?”

@gentlephenom3: “Straight justice — no need for this. Really, how can one give information about the souls of the living to be killed? He deserves the same fate too since many souls died through him.”
