A Nigerian business owner, known as @damveee, has shared her disappointment in a viral TikTok video after a surprise vendor misspelled a key word in her birthday decoration setup, turning what should have been a joyful moment into an embarrassing one.
According to @damveee, she had intentionally decided to support another small business owner for her birthday surprise arrangement, aiming to encourage entrepreneurship among young Nigerians. Unfortunately, the vendor made a glaring error by writing “I HART YOU” instead of “I HEART YOU” using decorative alphabet balloons — a mistake that left the celebrant shocked and speechless.
She narrated that she had already sent samples and clearly communicated the wording she wanted through WhatsApp. Despite these instructions, the vendor still got it wrong. The blunder was noticed immediately as she walked into the room prepared for the surprise, only to be greeted by the incorrect spelling on the wall.
The unfortunate part was that her client, who had ordered the surprise for someone special, walked into the venue moments later, giving them no opportunity to correct the mistake in time. This led to an awkward situation where apologies had to be made instantly, tarnishing the excitement of the moment.
