A 17-year-old girl, identified as Sarah Grace Patrick, has been arrested and formally charged in connection with the shocking murder of her mother and stepfather in Georgia, nearly six months after the tragic incident took place.
According to an official statement released by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Patrick is accused of fatally shooting 41-year-old Kristin Brock and 45-year-old James Brock inside their bedroom on February 20. The couple was found dead in their bed in their Carrollton residence, a crime that initially shocked the quiet community.
Authorities revealed that Patrick had been living in the home with the victims and her 6-year-old sibling at the time of the murders. Interestingly, she was the one who called 911 after her younger sibling reportedly discovered the bodies of their parents. This deceptive move initially diverted suspicion away from her and left investigators puzzled for months.
Following months of investigations and after gathering critical evidence, Patrick was informed about an arrest warrant and decided to turn herself in on July 8. She arrived at the sheriff’s office accompanied by her biological father. The teenager now faces two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault and will be prosecuted as an adult under Georgia law.
Investigators have stated that the case remains active and ongoing. They also hinted that further arrests may be made as new leads and evidence continue to emerge. Authorities are still exploring possible motives behind the double homicide and whether other individuals might have been involved in planning or executing the crime.
Before her arrest, Patrick had appeared online, even posting emotional videos on TikTok, pleading for help in finding the “real” killers. She also issued public statements expressing sorrow and grief, successfully convincing many people of her innocence at the time. Her online activities included crying in videos and offering a $5,000 reward for any information that would lead to the arrest of those responsible.
Kristin’s grieving father, Dennis Nolan, expressed his deep heartbreak and disbelief over the shocking turn of events. In a statement, he said, “This is so horrendous. You just can’t imagine someone taking the lives of two good people.” His words reflect the deep pain felt by the family and the local community.
