Turkish Super Lig champions, Galatasaray, have officially submitted a revised and significantly improved proposal to Napoli for the permanent signing of Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen, after their initial €70 million offer was turned down by the Italian club.
According to multiple sources, including transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray's latest bid is now valued at €75 million and structured as €40 million in immediate cash payment with an additional €35 million to be paid in instalments spread over a period of three years.
Crucially, Galatasaray have also agreed to issue a formal bank guarantee to secure the scheduled instalment payments — a critical condition set by Napoli to ensure financial security and mitigate risks associated with long-term payment plans.
Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and enjoyed a phenomenal run with 26 goals in the league, has reportedly turned down a more financially lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal to continue with Galatasaray, highlighting his preference for European football and his bond with the Istanbul-based club.
During his loan spell, Osimhen played a pivotal role in leading Galatasaray to a historic domestic double, helping them secure both the league title and domestic cup, while also cementing his status as a fan favourite among supporters.
The revised transfer plan signals Galatasaray's strong ambition to reinforce their squad as they prepare to defend their domestic titles and make a deeper run in European competitions, especially after their disappointing early exit from the UEFA Europa League last season.
Final approval of the transfer now hinges on Napoli’s formal review and verification of the bank guarantee documents submitted by Galatasaray. Should the guarantee be deemed satisfactory, Osimhen is expected to travel to Istanbul to undergo medical examinations before signing a long-term contract that will make him the highest-paid player in Galatasaray’s history.
The move, if completed, will also mark one of the most expensive signings ever by a Turkish club, underlining the financial power and ambition Galatasaray are willing to display to strengthen their squad and solidify their status as one of Europe’s emerging forces.
Fans are already expressing excitement on social media, eager to see Osimhen return and continue his impressive goal-scoring exploits. Meanwhile, both clubs are expected to make an official announcement once final paperwork and formalities are completed.
