The woman took to a popular relationship advice platform to share her story and express her frustration over the unequal treatment she has received compared to her husband.

She explained that she had been in the marriage for many years, during which her husband was unfaithful to her on multiple occasions. Despite his numerous affairs, which resulted in him fathering two children outside their marriage, and her contracting at least four sexually transmitted infections (STIs) from him, no family meetings were ever convened to address his behavior, and she remained committed to the relationship.

However, after enduring this mistreatment, she decided to cheat once in retaliation. Since that single incident, their family has been embroiled in constant conflict, with frequent family meetings being held to discuss her actions. She has been subjected to name-calling and harsh judgment, unlike her husband who seemingly faces no such consequences.

In her own words, she wrote:

“Hi Auntie Momoza. Please keep me anonymous. My husband cheated on me 12 times that I know of. He made 2 kids outside our marriage and we are taking care of them. I got at least 4 STIs from him. No family meeting was called and I stayed. I cheated on him once…just once and I used protection. We have been attending family meetings every week since then and I’m called names. I didn’t fall pregnant, I didn’t get him sick…nothing. Why am I being vilified and he’s not?”

Her post highlights the frustration many feel when faced with societal and familial biases that often excuse or overlook male infidelity while harshly punishing women for similar actions.
