A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Obidike Chukwuebuka, has firmly declared that the ongoing political coalition formed to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration ahead of the 2027 general election, particularly the newly announced ADC-led coalition, is doomed to fail from the start.
During an extensive interaction with journalists, Chief Obidike described President Tinubu as a visionary and deeply committed leader whose bold policies and sweeping reforms have already begun to transform Nigeria’s socio-economic landscape positively.
“Any coalition formed to oppose President Tinubu’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria is bound to collapse,” Obidike stated. “He is entirely devoted to the progress and advancement of our great nation. His unwavering dedication to lifting millions of Nigerians out of poverty, improving infrastructure, and fostering national unity is undeniable. This commitment is clearly visible in every policy and action he has taken since assuming office.”
Obidike highlighted several of Tinubu’s flagship initiatives, including comprehensive economic reforms aimed at diversifying the economy, major infrastructure projects designed to boost connectivity and trade, and robust measures to improve national security and protect citizens’ lives and property.
“Under President Tinubu’s dynamic leadership, Nigeria is on an irreversible path to greatness,” he continued. “His steadfast focus on creating jobs, supporting local industries, and building a secure environment for all Nigerians is an inspiration to us as party members and to every citizen who desires genuine progress.”
He further argued that the ADC-led coalition and other opposition alliances lacked the internal cohesion, policy vision, and grassroots support necessary to mount any serious challenge to the APC, especially given the ruling party’s strong record of achievements under Tinubu’s stewardship.
Obidike’s remarks come at a time when political tensions are escalating in anticipation of the 2027 general elections, with various opposition parties intensifying their efforts to forge alliances and present a united front against the ruling APC.
Nevertheless, the APC chieftain categorically dismissed these efforts as futile, emphasizing that the ruling party remains deeply united, strategically focused, and fully committed to the continuous implementation of Tinubu’s transformative agenda. He reassured supporters that the APC has no fear of internal division or external threats from the opposition.
“These opposition coalitions are distractions,” Obidike remarked. “They underestimate the strength and unity of the APC. Our focus remains on delivering real, measurable progress to the Nigerian people rather than engaging in endless political maneuvering.”
Obidike concluded his address by expressing optimism about Nigeria’s future under President Tinubu’s guidance, urging all Nigerians to support the president’s vision for national renewal and sustainable growth.
“With President Tinubu at the helm, the future of our nation is bright and full of promise. We are proud to stand by him on this transformative journey and are confident that his administration will continue to set Nigeria on a course towards lasting prosperity and global respect,” he added.
