President Bola Ahmed Tinubu [/b]has been honored with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Dike Si Mba Anambra (Warrior from the Diaspora) by the royal traditional rulers representing all 179 communities in Anambra State. This recognition came during his one-day working visit to the state on Thursday, further cementing his relationship with the region and its leadership.

The event took place at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, where the Chairman of the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Chidubem Iweka (Ogalagidi, Eze Iweka III), officially conferred the title on the president. Igwe Iweka remarked that the conferment was a unanimous decision made by all the royal fathers across Anambra, a testament to Tinubu’s national contributions and his positive impact on the country.

In his remarks, Igwe Iweka expressed that the title, Dike Si Mba Anambra, translates to “warrior from the Diaspora,” emphasizing that it was awarded in recognition of President Tinubu’s outstanding achievements in various sectors across Nigeria. Igwe Iweka also commended Tinubu’s support for vital infrastructure projects, particularly in Anambra, including road projects that connect to the Second Niger Bridge, as well as other developments that benefit local communities.

In his response, President Tinubu expressed his deep appreciation for the honor. He acknowledged the symbolic significance of the title and stated that it would forever remain a cherished moment in his life. He reiterated his belief in the power of Nigeria’s diversity and the importance of national unity in fostering prosperity and development.

“Our diversity must lead to prosperity; we must work together to lead Nigeria. We must commit ourselves for the development of the country,” he said, underlining his administration’s focus on unity and progress for the future of the nation.

During his visit to Anambra, President Tinubu also had the opportunity to commission several completed projects under the leadership of Governor Chukwuma Soludo. These included the New State Government House, the Governor’s Lodge, the Solution Fun City, the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy, and various other projects at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka.
