Newly married Nollywood actress Ruby Ojiakor has shared heartfelt advice to single ladies, drawing inspiration from an emotional highlight at her recent wedding ceremony.
In a touching video clip posted on her social media page, Ruby showcased the deeply moving moment when her husband, renowned filmmaker Moc Madu, was seen overwhelmed with emotions, shedding tears as they stood at the altar during their wedding.

Visibly shaken by the intensity of the occasion, Moc broke down in tears while making his vows, passionately declaring his love and commitment. Ruby described the moment as a powerful sign of true love and genuine emotion that goes beyond words.
In the caption accompanying the video, Ruby addressed her followers, particularly single women, stating that if their future husband doesn’t show this level of vulnerability and emotional transparency during their wedding, then perhaps he isn’t truly “the one.”
She wrote, “Pls, if he doesn’t cry like this on the altar of GOD on your biggest day, confessing to you and GOD how much he loves you, just know he’s not yours, ok. Return him back to the original owner.”
Further expressing her love for her husband, Ruby added: “My husband loves me so much. And I love him, too. TWO HEARTS… ONE SOUL. ASAONWA2025. GOD CANNOT BE MOCKED. JESUS WE LOVE YOU.”

Her statement has sparked widespread discussion and reactions across social media. While many fans celebrated the display of affection, others had mixed feelings about the message, questioning whether crying should be a prerequisite for proving love.
Instagram user @zoegood99 commented: “Ruby you no go rest abi??? You no dey learn from other people mistake. Priscilla’s hu by cried too, but Priscy did not go about making a mountain out of it and to think that Priscy is way younger than you but soo coordinated and mature.”
Another user, @obasichiamanda22, was moved by the video and wrote: “So emotional I can see where love is something sweet and natural sweetener 😢 this what is called everlasting life time story.”
However, not everyone interpreted the groom’s tears the same way. User sylvia__nella stated: “Someone is crying for his late mom and you are here twisting it ruby… oh chim o.”
@thriftbykech supported this view, adding: “The cry was because of his dead mom. That he wished she was alive to witness his wedding. May his mom soul continues to rest in peace Amen.”
