The revenue generated from the recently held Ojude Oba 2025 has surfaced online, causing widespread reactions and admiration across social media platforms.
This revelation was made by Mr. Steeze, a key personality involved in organizing the festival, during an exclusive interview with Obi Asika, the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC).
According to Mr. Steeze, this year’s edition of the Ojude Oba festival was the most remarkable and grandest ever recorded, with attendance surpassing the venue’s capacity limits.
In the interview, Mr. Steeze revealed that although he had previously partnered with Airtel for endorsement deals in earlier editions, he chose to reject endorsements this time. His intention was to allow other families and individuals within the community to benefit from the opportunities that the festival attracts.
“I’ll admit, a lot of the endorsement came towards me, I just turned them and channeled them towards other families,” he explained.
He further disclosed that the Ojude Oba 2025 festival generated more than 2 billion naira in revenue. In addition, a report by CNN estimated that over $10 million was generated within the Ijebu region during the festivities.
“We generated over 2 billion and according to CNN, over $10 million was generated within Ijebu,” he noted proudly.
The cultural event, which took place on June 8, 2025, attracted numerous high-profile guests including Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and the Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa.
