Controversial street-hop artist Portable has taken to social media to slam popular content creator and skit maker Carter Efe after the latter expressed shock over his ₦10 million demand for appearing on a TikTok live session.
According to multiple sources, Carter Efe had reached out to Portable to feature him on a TikTok live, hoping to collaborate and attract a wider audience. However, things quickly turned sour after Portable insisted on a ₦10 million appearance fee, a demand Carter Efe mocked online.

“How much are we even making from TikTok live? I’m tired,” Carter Efe said while reacting to Portable’s fee, expressing disbelief at the singer’s terms.
In a heated video response, Portable didn’t mince words. He accused Carter Efe of trying to take advantage of him just as he allegedly did with his former signee Young Duu. The “Zazu” crooner called Carter a “thief” and accused him of exploiting Young Duu by promising fame and lifestyle upgrades but delivering nothing substantial.
“You be thief! You ripped my boy, Young Duu. You carry am go Lekki, you no give am food chop, you no buy car, you no buy clothes. You wan use me too? Bring money first!” Portable blasted in the viral clip.
He further criticized Young Duu for not heeding his past advice to always request payment before collaborations or appearances. According to Portable, if Young Duu had listened to him, he wouldn’t be in his current situation.
“Na him no get sense. I dey tell am that time say, ‘anywhere dem call you, collect money’. Now see wetin happen,” he added.
This online exchange rekindles past controversies surrounding Carter Efe’s fallout with Young Duu. Their split, which gained attention months ago, was also marred by allegations of exploitation, with critics accusing Carter Efe of benefiting from the young artist’s buzz without offering adequate support or compensation.
The ongoing feud between Portable and Carter Efe has reignited conversations about fair compensation, respect, and transparency in the Nigerian entertainment industry, especially among influencers and fast-rising stars.
