American actor, Jamie Foxx emotionally recounts his life-threatening stroke experience during a heartfelt speech at the 2025 BET Awards.
The prestigious event took place on June 9, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, with comedian Kevin Hart serving as the host for the night.
While receiving the Ultimate Icon Award, Foxx became emotional on stage as he opened up about the terrifying stroke he suffered in April 2023, which resulted from a brain bleed and left him in a coma for 20 days.
In his words: “I cannot even begin to express the love that I feel from everybody out there. I don’t know why I went through what I went through, but I know my second chance, I’m not gonna turn down.”
