Renowned Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, has finally broken his silence following a viral incident that occurred during the 17th edition of the prestigious Headies Awards, which held in Lagos.
The artist, who walked away with two well-deserved awards during the ceremony, made headlines not only for his victories but also for a dramatic moment that unfolded during his acceptance speech on stage.
A video that has since gone viral online shows Odumodublvck refusing to leave the stage when requested by organizers. The scene generated significant buzz and reactions from fans and netizens across social media platforms.
Addressing the situation directly, Odumodublvck took to his verified account on X (formerly known as Twitter) to give his side of the story and clarify the reason behind the unexpected shutdown during his speech.
According to him, the microphone was abruptly turned off because he began talking about Jesus Christ while delivering his acceptance message. He went on to suggest that if he had instead spoken about a political figure, specifically Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the situation might have played out differently.
Despite the incident, Odumodublvck made it clear that he harbors no resentment towards the Headies Awards. Rather, he expressed gratitude that his microphone was eventually turned back on, giving him a chance to continue sharing his message and spread the gospel.
He reaffirmed his strong Christian beliefs and advocacy for Jesus Christ in the tweet, proudly stating that his allegiance remains to Christ above all.
