Gospel singer Timilehin Ajayi, currently standing trial for the alleged murder of his 24-year-old girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, was seen praying inside the courtroom earlier today.
The court proceedings resumed as part of the ongoing legal case concerning Salome’s death, which has drawn widespread media attention and public reaction.
Timilehin Ajayi was apprehended on January 12, following the tragic killing of Salome, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who had been serving at Nicon Insurance in Abuja at the time of her death.
Reports indicate that Salome had visited Timilehin’s residence in the Papalana area of New Karshi, within the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, where the incident allegedly occurred.
Authorities reportedly caught him in the act of trying to dispose of her dismembered remains. During interrogation, he is said to have shown no remorse and instead blamed the victim, accusing her of repeated infidelity.
A new video, recorded at the courthouse, now shows Timilehin engaging in what appears to be a solemn moment of prayer, drawing reactions from those following the case closely.
