A recent report from controversial blog, Gistlover, claims that popular Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo, and his wife, Omotayo Sanusi, are currently facing a serious marital crisis that has caught public attention.
According to details shared on Gistlover’s Instagram page, Femi Adebayo has allegedly been involved in infidelity, which has caused ongoing arguments and unrest in their marriage. The blog alleged that the matter escalated during an incident that took place in Ibrahim Chatta’s village.
During the incident, Femi’s wife, Omotayo, reportedly stormed into the location and confronted fellow actress, Funke Akindele, accusing her of having an affair with her husband. The confrontation allegedly turned violent as Omotayo destroyed hotel property, resulting in Femi Adebayo having to pay for the damages caused by his wife’s actions.
The situation didn’t de-escalate upon their return to Lagos. Instead, tensions reportedly grew worse. Gistlover claims that Omotayo began threatening to ruin Femi’s ongoing Netflix deal and publicly tarnish Funke Akindele’s image. These threats allegedly forced Femi to leave their marital home and rent an apartment on the Island to find peace and space.
Adding to the complexity of the matter, the blog reports that Omotayo recently survived a ghastly car accident. Her survival reportedly led to a decision by her in-laws to refrain from interfering in the troubled marriage, possibly out of fear or respect for spiritual implications.
In the midst of all this, Omotayo allegedly disclosed that she is pregnant and has refused to vacate the house she shares with Femi, insisting on remaining in her matrimonial home despite the ongoing issues.
The family crisis took an even more dramatic turn when Femi’s brother reportedly found a calabash in their home, suggesting the possibility of spiritual manipulation or practices being involved. This new discovery has deepened the crisis from just a marital problem to a broader spiritual and family matter.
Tensions within the family and among close circles are said to be running extremely high, and many fear a major public outburst or social media scandal could erupt at any moment.
For context, Femi Adebayo and Omotayo Sanusi tied the knot in a private ceremony attended by only close family and friends. This is Femi’s second marriage, having previously been married to Khadijat Adebayo, with whom he shares three children.
