Afrobeat artist, Davido, has finally addressed the ongoing dispute with his colleague Tiwa Savage, breaking his silence for the first time since the controversy started months ago.
It was previously reported that Tiwa Savage had filed a complaint with the Commissioner of Police after Davido allegedly sent her threatening messages. The incident arose from a post she made after spending time with Sophia Momodu, Davido’s baby mama. Tiwa Savage reportedly took offense at some of Davido's comments and actions, leading to her taking legal steps.
According to reports, Davido expressed his displeasure and allegedly threatened Tiwa, warning her to “be careful in Lagos”.
However, during a recent interview on ‘The Breakfast Club’, Davido addressed the rumor surrounding the situation with Tiwa Savage. He downplayed the matter, describing the altercation as a trivial disagreement, comparing it to a sibling argument. He added, “Me and Tiwa used to stay in the same house. It was like brothers and sisters arguing. It was nothing,” dismissing any serious conflict between the two artists.
Although the two have not met since the incident, Davido confirmed that Tiwa Savage did reach out to him. He indicated that if the opportunity arises for them to meet and reconcile, they will, but until then, no further action is being taken. Their professional paths may cross in the future, but for now, they have left the situation behind them.
