Renowned Nigerian singer and one-half of the iconic music duo P-Square, Peter Okoye, widely known as Mr P, has launched a fiery outburst on social media, calling out his elder brothers, Paul Okoye and Jude Okoye, as well as dancehall singer Cynthia Morgan, in a dramatic continuation of their long-standing family feud.
The controversy was reignited following a statement allegedly made by the Okoye brothers’ lawyer, which accused Peter of providing false testimony in court. Reacting to this, Peter took to social media to express his outrage, stating that their publicist was working overtime to portray him as a liar in the eyes of the public.

In his emotional rant, Peter declared, “I am not May D or Cynthia Morgan,” referencing two artists previously associated with his elder brother Jude’s now-defunct label, Northside Entertainment, who had publicly voiced grievances about their treatment under the label.
This comment did not sit well with Cynthia Morgan, who responded strongly via her Instagram story. She expressed her disappointment and hurt, accusing Peter of dragging her name into his family issues despite her past emotional distress involving the Okoye family. She alleged that Peter was also one of those who made her feel “weak” during her struggles.
Responding to Cynthia’s post, Peter defended himself by revealing that he had offered her a record deal in 2020, which she turned down. He suggested that she had been misled by his family into believing that he was the villain among the Okoye brothers.
“Sad you rejected the contract I gave you. Just because they made you see me as the bad egg. I pray you understand that God has a purpose for everything… It’s never too late to be what you might have been. God will surely see you through and carry you through the storm. Keep believing,” Peter wrote.
He didn’t stop there. Peter also directed serious accusations at his elder brother Jude’s wife, alleging financial misconduct. He claimed she had diverted proceeds meant for P-Square for years and falsely blamed Peter’s wife, Lola Omotayo, for the group's internal issues. According to Peter, Jude’s wife controlled 80% of the group’s company and had long held sway over its financial operations.
“They made it seem like my wife, Lola, was the problem. Meanwhile, it was Jude’s wife who diverted PSQUARE’s proceeds for years. Imagine if it were my wife — the media would have dragged her endlessly. UnaThiefAbiUnaNoThief. FamilyDoesNotStealFromFamily. I disown them,” he added.

Peter emphasized that his decision to walk away from the P-Square group and family business was never about greed or power but rather about finding personal freedom and standing up for what he believes is right. He concluded his statement with a firm assertion that “the truth shall prevail,” making it clear that he is determined to continue speaking out.
