Popular Nigerian afro-fusion star, Burna Boy, has finally broken his silence following viral reports that the leader of Burkina Faso, Ibrahim Traoré, rejected his generous offer to host a free concert for the people of the country.
Earlier this week, several media outlets circulated the story that Burna Boy had expressed his desire to organize a free musical event in Burkina Faso as a gesture of goodwill, intending to use his global platform to bring joy and entertainment to the citizens.

However, the country’s president reportedly turned down the offer, citing the need to maintain national focus and avoid what was termed an unnecessary “distraction.” This response stirred up a wave of reactions online, with many praising Burna Boy’s initiative, while others ridiculed him over the alleged rejection.
Addressing the backlash, Burna Boy issued a fiery statement on social media, condemning those who mocked him for what he considered a selfless move. The Grammy-winning artist did not mince words as he strongly defended his integrity and intentions.
He stated…
“i said I wanted to do.a free show in Burkina Faso and I got a lot of Positivity but at the same time, surprisingly some Morons said a lot of «unbelievably negative shit that had me in shock.
1. I’m sorry but YOU are not qualified to even speak my name If your only contribution to this world is typing dumb comments or Talking into yourc -ap Ringlight and Phone.

Burna Boy’s response has sparked further debate online, with fans applauding his patriotism and critics questioning the tone of his reaction. Regardless of the controversy, his attempt to bridge African nations through music remains a topic of interest across the continent.
